How It Works
Hiring from SE Music Rentals is easy. Here's everything you need to know!
1. Choose your gear
Browse our full equipment list with upfront day rates, weekend rates, and deposit amounts for every item. No email quotes, no hidden fees – what you see is what you pay.
2. Pick your dates
Select your hire dates on our booking calendar. Day hires run from delivery to next-day collection. Weekend hires run from Friday delivery to Sunday evening collection.
3. Pay your deposit
A fully refundable deposit is required to secure every booking. This is paid online at the time of booking and returned within 24 hours of collection, provided equipment is returned in good condition.
4. We deliver it
We deliver across South East London. Delivery fees are based on distance from our HQ – see our Equipment & Pricing page for the full breakdown. You can also pick it up for no extra cost!
5. We collect it
At the end of your hire we come and collect everything. Once we’ve confirmed the equipment is in good condition, your deposit is back with you within 24 hours.
FAQs
Q: What area do you deliver to? We deliver across South East London and beyond. If you’re unsure whether we cover your postcode, you can check using the delivery calculator on the Equipment & Pricing page, or just drop us a message via the contact page and we’ll confirm.
Q: How much is delivery? Delivery fees are based on drive time from our HQ in SE12 0EF – £30 for up to 30 minutes, £50 for 30–45 minutes, and £70 for 45–60 minutes, with a £10 delivery surcharge for large items (drum kit and DJ table). You can check the estimated delivery cost using our delivery cost calculator on the Equipment & Pricing page. Alternatively, you can collect it yourself for free!
Q: When do you deliver? Our standard delivery windows are between 6pm and 9pm, but if you want a different delivery time just reach out via phone/email or leave a note on your order and we will try and accomadate it for you!
Q: How does the deposit work? A refundable deposit is charged per booking at the time of booking. The deposit amount varies by item – all amounts are listed on our pricing page. Your deposit is returned in full within 24 hours of collection, provided equipment is returned in the same condition it was delivered.
Q: What if something gets damaged? We photograph all equipment before delivery and after collection. If damage occurs during the hire period, we’ll deduct the reasonable cost of repair or replacement from the deposit and provide an itemised breakdown in writing within 48 hours of collection.
Q: Can I collect equipment myself? Yes – self-collection is available for free!
Q: How far in advance do I need to book? We ask for at least 24 hours notice for all bookings to ensure equipment is available and delivery can be arranged. For weekend hires we’d recommend booking as early as possible as these slots fill up quickly.
Q: Can I extend my hire? If you’d like to extend your hire, get in touch as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate it subject to availability. Additional day rates apply.
Q: What’s included with the drum kit? The drum kit comes with everything you need, including a stool, sticks, and sound dampeners.
Q: What’s included with the DJ decks, synths and drum machines? All the required wiring and AUX cables are provided free. DJ headphones (Pioneer HDJ-CUE1) and the DJ table are available as optional extras – see the pricing page for details.
